Tim Dischert

Tim is a voiceover artist and actor based in the USA. He has been in the industry for 5 years and has learned from some of the best instructors in the industry. He has voiced on multiple YouTube channels, a promo for a tech company and was a character in a podcast on Apple. Tim is passionate about voice acting and smiles every time he’s behind the mic.

In fact, Tim’s journey began when his dad who was in the film industry had an employee who met with Tim and had a long talk about voice acting. His dad’s employee gave Tim contact information of a studio that was teaching the basics. He took the class and his instructor became one of his coaches and began doing one on one lessions! Throughout the years, he took more classes from different instructors who specialize in different areas of VO to learn more and do great in every area like dubbing, animation, commercials etc.

Tim believes that in order to reach your goals, not only you need to audition, audition and audition, but you need to learn no matter how many years you’ve been in the industry. The more you learn, the better you become. The more you learn, the more skills you will gain. Even the best of the best still learn and can learn something new everyday.

One reason why Tim loves about voice acting is being creative! Every time he does an audition especially characters, he imagines what they look like and sound like based how they’re described. He performs in different ways to try to fit his voices in the characters. Another reason why he loves about voice acting is learning from as many people as possible from instructors to voice actors. The more you learn the better you develop.

Outside of voice acting, Tim has worked on live action filming. He’s been in short films and was a production assistant. Also, Tim loves to play and watch sports. He is a big golfer and basketball player. He also plays football and bowling. Tim is a die hard Philadelphia sports fan especially the Sixers, Eagles and Phillies. Tim is an anime fanatic!
Lastly, he loves to hang with his family and friends and will do anything for them.
