Charmaine Shaw

Charmaine is a Canadian voiceover artist and community theatre actress based in Southern Ontario. She has a passion for acting and firmly believes that if you enjoy what you are paid to do, you are not working. Retired after a long career in healthcare, she wants to pursue her dream job - voice acting. Her goal is to infuse creativity and uniqueness in her voice work so that it is memorable.

She has performed in many plays and several musicals over the past 30 years. Her most recent role was in a community theatre production of The Vagina Monologues. Not only did the play garner kudos from the critics but it was identified as being among the top ten shows for 2025 in the Greater Hamilton Area by two theatre critics.

During her working career, she was a Director/Manager, consultant, teacher, Board member, and contributing author. Suffice it to say, she is familiar with medical lingo and management speak.

On a personal level, she is mother to three darling daughters and grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren. She is a pet parent to an English Cocker Spaniel named Simon and still deeply misses and fondly remembers her horse Jake whom she had the privilege of bonding with for 26 years.
